Mako SmartRobotics robotic-arm assisted surgery
Robotic-arm platform that guides bone preparation and implant placement from a CT-based plan within haptic boundaries.
Robotic-arm assisted surgery and optical navigation platforms for joint replacement, spine and cranial procedures.
ViSurg supplies Stryker’s navigation and robotics platforms as an authorised distributor, and a demonstration can be arranged before a hospital commits to a system.
Mako SmartRobotics, in its Mako 4 form, builds a three-dimensional plan from the patient’s CT scan and keeps the cutting instrument within haptic boundaries while the surgeon executes it. Its applications are total and partial knee arthroplasty and total hip arthroplasty; other indications are confirmed with the manufacturer. The unit has a compact theatre footprint. The Q Guidance surgical navigation system tracks instruments optically and displays their position against the patient’s imaging so screws and cuts follow the plan. Software modules cover spine screw navigation and cranial neurosurgery, and the Ortho Q variant adds knee and hip guidance.
Both belong to the image-guided surgery, navigation and robotics technology group and serve orthopaedics and trauma departments. As a dealer in navigation and robotics to hospitals and medical colleges, ViSurg supplies and services these systems across Karnataka, Maharashtra and Goa from the nearest branch, which also handles installation, training and after-sales support. Tenders and rate contracts are handled from the registered office in Vijayapura, and pricing is confirmed on enquiry.
