Body Composition Monitor (BCM)
Bioimpedance device that separates a dialysis patient's fluid overload from lean and fat tissue.
Bioimpedance fluid-status monitors and the chairs, beds and scales a dialysis unit is furnished with.
The Body Composition Monitor (BCM) from Fresenius Medical Care measures bioimpedance to separate a dialysis patient’s overhydration from lean and fat tissue. Clinicians use the reading to set target weight and to assess nutritional status, and the device is used in both haemodialysis and peritoneal dialysis programmes.
The furniture side of the range covers therapy chairs designed around dialysis workflows, therapy beds for elderly and multimorbid patients and patient scales that pass weights into the clinic software. Fresenius sources these as traded goods from partner manufacturers, and ViSurg quotes them alongside the machines when a unit is being fitted out or expanded.
ViSurg is an authorised distributor of Fresenius Medical Care and a supplier of dialysis unit fit-out to Nephrology and dialysis departments in hospitals and medical colleges. Monitors, chairs, beds and scales are supplied and serviced across Karnataka, Maharashtra and Goa from the nearest ViSurg branch, which also demonstrates the BCM and trains staff in its use. Pricing is confirmed on enquiry.
