Tourniquets and surgical helmets

Two Stryker orthopaedic instrument accessories are listed here. The SmartPump tourniquet system is a pneumatic controller that regulates cuff pressure to hold a bloodless field during limb surgery. The Steri-Shield 8 personal protection system is a helmet worn with a hood by the theatre team during joint replacement and other high-splash orthopaedic procedures; it is supplied with its hoods and accessories from Stryker’s orthopaedic instruments range.

Both serve orthopaedics and trauma departments, in particular joint replacement units and trauma and fracture services where arthroplasty and limb surgery are performed. Cuffs, hoods and other accessories are taken on repeat orders, and ViSurg acts as supplier for the capital item and the consumables alike. ViSurg is an authorised distributor for Stryker, and the products are sourced through the manufacturer’s channel with the documentation the hospital needs to record them.

The equipment is supplied and serviced across Karnataka, Maharashtra and Goa from the nearest ViSurg branch, which arranges demonstration, installation, training and after-sales support.
