PROCEED surgical mesh is a composite mesh for ventral hernia repair: polypropylene combined with a bioresorbable layer that keeps the mesh separated from the viscera while tissue integrates, so it can be placed intraperitoneally by an open or a laparoscopic approach. The ULTRAPRO hernia system is a shaped, partially absorbable macroporous device for open inguinal hernia repair, preformed to cover both the space behind the abdominal wall and the inguinal floor, with a coating that eases deployment.

Both meshes are Ethicon products from Johnson & Johnson MedTech, for which ViSurg is an authorised distributor, and are used by General and laparoscopic surgery departments in hospitals and medical colleges. Mesh is bought per case and by rate contract.
