Overview
The SmartPump Tourniquet System is a tourniquet pump from Stryker for orthopaedic procedures that require a bloodless field. It is used with Color Cuff Tourniquets, which have EvenAIRe Technology Stiffeners, and the limb occlusion pressure is set by the user. The pump includes multiple built-in safety checks. The stiffener is RF-welded in place, which supports consistent pressure distribution across the cuff’s surface.
The system performs a three-second self calibration on start-up to check the pump, cuff and inflow or outflow line. Three-step IVRA lock protection keeps the second bladder inflated when one line is deflated, for IVRA or Bier block procedures. The system records perioperative data for documentation.
