Overview
The STERRAD VELOCITY Biological Indicator (BI) and Process Challenge Device (PCD) is an all-in-one BI and PCD for verifying the effectiveness of the STERRAD sterilisation cycle. Time to results is 15 or 30 minutes, depending on the software version of the STERRAD VELOCITY reader. It is used with STERRAD Systems, instrument tracking systems and hospital networks through ASP ACCESS Technology. Automated record keeping is designed to provide consistent and complete biological indicator records, which reduces the need for manual record keeping.
The system stores up to 22,000 complete biological indicator records and can print them using an optional printer. Its records can be correlated with the STERRAD steriliser cycle record when used with ASP ACCESS Technology, and urgent alerts can pass between the steriliser and the reader. Its design is intended to support audit-ready sterilisation records.
