Overview

The BIOTRACE Rapid Read 5 VH2O2 System is a biological indicator (BI) reader for sterilisation departments. It gives a readout as quick as 5 minutes, which supports rapid instrument release, and it has dual incubation wells so that two biological indicators can be processed at the same time. The compact design is intended to fit into workspaces with limited space and to keep pace with busy operating room schedules.

The BI used with the reader carries a Type 1 chemical indicator on its label, which shows at a glance whether it has been processed. It has a 2-year shelf life at recommended storage conditions. Lot numbers and expiration dates are printed as scannable barcodes, which supports traceability. The short readout is designed to reduce instrument quarantine time.
