Overview

PROCEED Surgical Mesh is a macroporous, partially absorbable, tissue-separating mesh for intraperitoneal onlay mesh repair (IPOM) procedures. It is a sterile, thin, flexible laminate of oxidised regenerated cellulose (ORC) fabric and PROLENE Soft Polypropylene Mesh, a non-absorbable polypropylene mesh encapsulated by a polydioxanone polymer. The ORC layer separates the polypropylene mesh from underlying tissue and organ surfaces during the wound-healing period.

The polypropylene mesh side allows for tissue ingrowth, and the polydioxanone provides a bond to the ORC layer. The mesh is used in hernia surgery, for laparoscopic and open intraperitoneal or intra-abdominal ventral hernia repairs. Product codes include PCDB1, PCDD1, PCDG1, PCDH1 and PCDJ1.

Features

  • Bioresorbable layer separates mesh from viscera
  • Open and laparoscopic approaches
