Overview
SafeAir is a smoke evacuation range from Stryker. The SafeAir compact evacuator provides suction for SafeAir smoke evacuation pencils, both standard and telescopic, and is portable for use in the operating room or other procedure rooms. It senses pencil current to activate automatically.
The pencils integrate with existing monopolar electrosurgical generators and smoke evacuation systems, and offer automatic, permanent and footswitch activation modes. The evacuator has ULPA filtration and a lighted indicator for filter life, with a customisable time delay of up to 10 seconds after pencil deactivation. The telescopic pencil’s shaft extends up to 4.75 inches, and a range of electrodes and suction sleeves is available. The system is used in operating rooms, labour and delivery and endoscopy suites.
