Overview
The 1688 Advanced Imaging Modalities (AIM) 4K Platform is a surgical visualisation tower from Stryker. Its camera head provides 4K image resolution, and the whole tower is managed through the Connected OR Hub, which gives control of images, data and settings from the surgical field. The platform includes the 1688 camera control unit, the L11 light source with auto-light technology, a 32-inch 4K surgical display and the PneumoClear insufflator.
The platform is designed for use across multiple surgical specialties, including laparoscopy, gynaecology, urology and breast surgery. It can also support the SPY-PHI portable fluorescence imaging device, which allows surgeons to visualise blood flow in vessels and tissue perfusion during plastic, microsurgical, reconstructive and gastrointestinal procedures. Surgeon profiles, voice control, dual-channel recording and media asset management are available through the Connected OR Hub.
