Overview
The 6008 CAREsystem consists of the 6008 haemodialysis system and the associated 6008 CAREset, an all-in-one disposable with pre-connected bloodlines for all treatment modalities. It supports switching between treatment modalities and the delivery of HighVolumeHDF, with one disposable for HD, HighVolumeHDF, double-needle and single-needle treatments. The system is used for haemodialysis in dialysis centres.
Safety features include Venous Access Monitoring (VAM), a wetness detector (VenAcc), integrated kinking detection and ONLINE closed-circuit reinfusion of the arterial and venous lines, with automatic connection to an integrated infusion port. Individual therapy support covers monitoring of the effective dialysis dose, Advanced Fluid Management, individual temperature control and Advanced Access Management, the last three being optional. A paediatric variant, the 6008 CAREsystem Paed, is designed for the treatment of paediatric patients.
