Overview
The ECHELON CIRCULAR Powered Stapler is designed for creating an anastomosis, the connection of two tube-shaped structures. It comes in four sizes, allowing the device to be matched to the diameter of the patient’s anatomy. The stapler combines 3D Stapling Technology and Gripping Surface Technology on a powered platform. Tissue compression can be controlled by varying the height of the closed staple, and firing is by powered push button.
The stapler is used in colorectal, gastric and thoracic surgery, with procedures including colorectal resections, gastrectomies, gastric bypass and oesophagectomies. Its 3D Stapling Technology distributes compression throughout the anastomosis, and Gripping Surface Technology delivers compression where it is needed to prepare the tissue for staple formation.
