Overview
Fixomull Transparent is a transparent and waterproof polyurethane film coated with a polyacrylate adhesive that is very skin-friendly. The waterproof film is a bacterial barrier and is semi-permeable, allowing the skin to breathe. The extra-thin film conforms to the contours of the body, including joints and extremities, and its transparency allows visual inspection of the wound environment at all times.
It is used for waterproof wide-area fixation of wound dressings, including on joints and extremities, for waterproof fixation of instruments, catheters, measuring devices and probes, and for hygienic fixation of ointment dressings. It protects wounds against water, moisture and contamination and allows patients to wash and shower without additional protection against water. It is intended for use in hospitals, private practice and by patients themselves.
