Overview

The LUCAS 3, v3.1 is an automated chest compression system from Stryker that delivers mechanical chest compressions. It is designed to maintain compressions during transport and in the cath lab, and it allows defibrillation electrodes to be applied outside the suction cup without stopping compressions for the shock. Compression rate and depth can be configured to local protocols.

The device is used in emergency medical services and hospital settings, and an optional carbon fibre back plate supports cath lab use. It connects to LIFENET for asset management and post-event reports, and integrates with CODE-STAT data review software. Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity and a carrying case with a battery window are included, and an external power supply allows prolonged operation and charging.
