Overview
FX classix dialysers are high-flux dialysers for haemodialysis, intended for patients who need high-flux treatment and for patients moving from low-flux to high-flux dialysis. They have a sieving coefficient for beta-2-microglobulin of 0.7 and are sterilised with INLINE steam, the sterilisation method used across the FX range.
High-flux dialysers have larger pores and a higher ultrafiltration coefficient, which allows removal of middle-molecular-weight solutes such as beta-2-microglobulin, while low-flux dialysers mainly clear small solutes such as urea and creatinine. FX classix is part of the FX family, which spans haemodiafiltration, high-flux and low-flux treatments for adult and paediatric patients, with polypropylene housings. Other members of the family include FX CorAL, FX CorDiax, FX class and FX paed dialysers.
